The Importance of Servicing an Unvented Hot Water Cylinder

Safety Assurance
Ensure your pressurised cylinder operates safely
Unvented cylinders operate under high pressure. Annual servicing from a G3 qualified engineer ensures safety valves and controls are functioning properly to prevent dangerous pressure build-up.

Extended Lifespan
Your unvented cylinder will last longer
Regular maintenance prevents wear and tear, helping the cylinder and its components last longer and reducing the risk of costly breakdowns or need for a replacement cylinder.

Consistent Hot Water
No more surprise cold showers or sluggish taps!
Regular servicing helps maintain stable pressure and temperature throughout the system, ensuring hot water is always available when you need it.

Efficiency Boost
Lower energy bills by keeping your system clean
Limescale and sediment can reduce heat transfer and water flow. Cleaning during servicing keeps the system running smoothly and helps lower energy bills.

Warranty Protection
Keep your warranty valid for potential future faults
Most unvented cylinders come with a manufacturer’s warranty. To keep it valid, they often require annual servicing by a G3-certified professional. Skipping a service could void that warranty, leaving homeowners unprotected against faults.

Leak Prevention
Detect issues early to prevent costly damage
Over time, components like seals, joints, or the expansion vessel may deteriorate or corrode. Servicing allows early detection of any weak spots before they turn into leaks that could cause damage to the property.

What’s included in an
Unvented Water Cylinder Service?
